Amanda Murphy Ceramics

///Design, Print & E-commerceInspired, Authentic & Original.

Amanda Murphy is an acclaimed ceramicist based in Ireland who's work is growing in demand both in her native country and increasingly overseas (having been featured on national television with an upcoming feature also planned for U.S screens). The initial design brief was to create a range of printed material to showcase Amanda and her work, which we're pleased to say then led on to us being asked to create a new e-commerce website to sell the products Online.

Our very first job was to produce a simple information card that introduced Amanda to new clients whilst also serving as a reminder to anyone that was already aware of her work. We wanted to build upon previous material and develop a tone of voice that we could apply across other formats, which having done successfully we then carried through into a larger brochure together with other branded items that would be used at point of sales.

(you can visit the new website here - still a work in progress!).
The approach was to keep the overall presentation minimal but not sparse, with a subtle visual hierarchy that complimented the product shots of Amanda's unique work. Textual sound bites help to tell the story of what inspires Amanda's hand made pieces, whilst the material and finishes of the print itself were carefully selected for their tactile feel of quality.

Having worked on a number of printed items at this stage, we were then able to take the blueprint for what had been created and then translate this into the design layout for a new online store. The new website maintains the clean look and feel from what had been used before, whilst at the same time being developed to meet the modern demands and technical requirements of both website users and search engines alike.

My partner and I were delighted with the print designs and the print itself looks fantastic. We've had great feedback from our customers and we really like the work 0-60 have done for us. They're easy to work with and always receptive to different ideas. We now have a great website to sell our products from as well and that's helping us to grow the business.
